The Pullman Shanghai Skyway was awarded the official five-star rating by the China National Tourism Administration, holding an unveiling ceremony to mark the accreditation on December 8, 2011.
As the first Pullman hotel in Shanghai to be managed by the Accor Hospitality Group since March 2009, the rating recognizes the hotel’s facilities and high service standards, placing the hotel in the exclusive category of selected five-star hotels in Shanghai and China.
Benoit Amado, General Manager of the Pullman Shanghai Skyway expressed his goals for 2012 during the press conference, pointing out that 2012 would be an important year for the hotel, also hinting that perhaps “more restaurants” can be expected in the near future.
“We are riding the Shanghai wave,” says Amado, hoping to bring Pullman’s name to the top five hotels in Shanghai with a fresh approach to business travel.
Amado plans to increase the hotel’s online presence via online media marketing through popular sites and search engines such as Baidu and Yahoo within the next year.
“Shanghai is in the situation where everything is over supplied. You have to be very aggressive and very competitive if you want to succeed in China,” says Amado.
The 645-room Pullman Shanghai Skyway is located close to the Xujiahui Business District.
