Methven Group confirmed a commitment to breakthrough luxury shower design, technological advancements and consumer-driven product excellence at their 2011 annual general meeting, at the University of Auckland Business School today.
Key points included:
• Upcoming 2012 launch of 59 new Methven branded products, including three new Satinjet shower ranges and three new complementary tapware ranges
• A 50% increase last year in R&D spend with further increase planned
• Development of shower skincare with Vitamin C de-chlorinisation technology
• Increased focus on digital thermostatic shower technology to create an enhanced and more sustainable shower experience
“We are as committed as ever to design and innovation and after increasing investment 50% last year, we are set to lift our R&D spend yet again,” Rick Fala,Methven Group CEO added. “Our award winning Satinjet range will be expanded to cover all price points out, and we will develop thermostatic and digital showers that not only improve the user experience but also save water and energy. We place great value on sustainable design, something that was recognised recently when our new generation Kiri Satinjet ultra low flow shower picked up the 2011 Good Design Green Award in Chicago.”
