IN BRIEF

URBN’s new rooftop champagne lounge

Sipping bubbly in Jing’an has never looked so good. URBN Hotels and David Laris Creates are proud to announce the launch of Upstairs @ URBN, a sexy and sophisticated rooftop champagne lounge offering a select range of champagne specials, champagne cocktails, cocktails and tantalizing Mediterranean canapés.

Located on the rooftop terrace of URBN Hotel, guests can peer over historical Shanghai homes juxtaposed against the bright lights of Jing’an’s modern business district. However, the main attraction is the warm, inviting and intimate atmosphere that is more reminiscent of a private club than a public bar. The candlelit terrace provides a cozy spot to gather with luxe décor, making it the ideal venue for a romantic rendezvous, various private celebrations, or simply catching up on gossip with a close friend or two.

Partnering with Moët & Chandon, Upstairs @ URBN boasts elegant but comfortable furniture that complement the sophistication of the champagne served. Hours of operation are Thursdays through Saturdays from 5pm – late. Drop by early between 6pm – 8pm and take advantage of their 90RMB Moët Impérial champagne and Moët Impérial Rosé by the glass, as well as 2-for-1 glass wines, house spirits and beer. Upstairs’ privileged guests can also enjoy a niche selection of indulgent yet simple Mediterranean-style canapés such as freshly shucked oysters, tempura soft-shell crab or the cured salmon pate with an Irish twist.

“Upstairs @ URBN is warm, fun and inviting,” says food and beverage manager Fergus MacDougall. “Guests will enjoy an intimate environment where they can indulge in a relaxed yet sophisticated space.”

Upstairs @ URBN is available for private bookings seven days a week. Please contact Linda@urbnhotels.com for more information.
